Made it out last night to see grand nieces and nephews. A friend in IT scored me a batch of basic laptops castoff by the university, so they all got laptops for Christmas. The most fun- the younger kids were showing the older kids how to use them. Maybe a ray of hope after all...us older cranky typed worry about about what kind of future the kids will have. But I saw resiliency and adaptiveness that will serve them well later. From 1950 to 60, things didn't change much. But things change a great deal in a decade these days. This place serves as a haven for us dinosaurs. A slow moving oasis in a fast changing world.
